Huawei Sd Card Update Fail P6

I have a HUAWEI u8681 and all I did was the following:(1) Setting Storage Change the default from 'install apps to the SD card' back too 'install apps to internal' memory.(2) Install app 'Apps 2 SD' (has orange Icon with Black SD within)Move a ton of apps to the SD card. So you will have room in yourinternal memory needed for step (5)(3) UnMount SD Card Then Restart Cell Phone(4) Notice that the Setting Storage internal memory is working(5) Go to Google Store Settings My Apps UPDATE ALLAll your apps updates and no issues(6) NOTE: DO NOT CHANGE the default memory to be INTERNAL asstep one. This is what I believe creates this issue.Or it may be that I was moving my apps to the SD card wrong;I am not sure, but the 'Apps 2 SD' solved the issue if that was thecase. If your energetic; you could try this solution without the'Apps 2 SD' first. See if it worked. Then if it doesn't then includeStep (2) and see if works for you.(7) Mount SD Card Then Restart Cell PhoneI hope this helps as it was driving me nuts for months until I figured itout. If this works for you, please paste this information to another siteto get the word around. Maybe someone could post this on YouTube etc.Best regards,Edoctoor.

Hi, I have tried this. I have a 2nd hand Huawei Ascend U8950N-51. Since I got it its been giving me that insufficient space error every time I try to access the Gallery. If I try to take a photo it wont save it.

I thought it was a space issue and deleted everything on the internal drive I could find, emptied all caches I could find and bought a micro SD card. I downloaded the Apps 2 SD and of the 7 apps it said I could move to the SD card I deleted 3 and got an error message when I tried to move the other 4 to the SD card. When I unmount the SD card I can see that my apps take up 690MB of my internal memory (I have no idea what internal memory on this device is) and when I mount the SD card my internal memory remains at 690MB but there is 0MB left.I'm new to smart phones but not to computers and I'm feeling frustrated and really stupid right now.Any ideas? All there is on the phone is apps and the settings/storage says 0 space on internal memory but only 670MB on it. How can that be? Can the internal memory be that small?

I checked the camera app and its set to save to the SD card, yet it won't take any photos due to 'insufficient space'. There is nothing in the gallery (there shouldn't be as I reset the phone and it erased everything anyway) and yet it won't open it due to 'insufficient space'.

Huawei Sd Card Update Fail P6

At this rate I think I'll have to just go buy a new phone. This was given to me by a friend who upgraded, she said it worked fine and to be honest she saved me when I ran over my old phone and was in urgent need of a phone and had no money to spend. I can still take/make calls and texts so its working, but this is frustrating.Thank you so much for your patience with me.

I just don't know what else to try! I had the same (or very similar) issue with my Huawei H881C which started 4 days ago. I was able to fix it today. I tried all of the suggestions above.

Even though they did not work (and I never did try the App2SD application), I did find that I could fix the problem manually by uninstalling a very large application (in my case, the FitBit mobile app) and then setting my default install location to the SD card. I then went to the PlayStore, re-installed FitBit, and that freed up over 100 Meg on internal storage.

The 'low-space' indicator went away. To finish the fix (instead of using something like App2SD), I manually moved all of the applications (which the Huawei allows me to move) to the SD card. I did that by clicking on the APPS icon. Then I tapped the 'Menu' and chose MANAGE APPS. I went to 'ON SD CARD' and for any app which was using zero MB I check-marked it, and moved it to the SD card.

After I finished moving them all I ended up with 162 MB free of internal storage (468 MB used) which was about 100 MB more breathing room than before. I left the default install location as SD to help avoid this problem in the future. (This phone apparently needs some cushion space taken from internal storage to perform basic phone functions like simply take a picture (let alone store it), or synchronize email accounts. Even if you're not actually saving something, if that functional space isn't there, the phone can't perform everything it needs to. Once free space falls to around 60 MB, the above process might have to be used). I was having the same problem. I was trying to transfer files from a computer to a Huawei.

I checked settingsStorage and could see that I had about 5 gigs of internal storage available which was sufficient for what I wanted to put onto the phone. I checked the MTP setting, and found the phone was set to, 'Charging'. I changed this setting to Media Device (MTP) and this fixed the problem.

If you are at the maximum of the available internal storage, I recommend doing the above, (Clear Cache, remove old file, do a dump) if you have storage available I recommend checking these setting first. To access them, slide your finger in the downward motion from the top of the phone to get the notifications. Find the field that says, 'USB Connection' or something like that. The default will always be set to 'Charging', change it to 'Media Device (MTP) and see how you go. Hope this helps.

Hi guys,I updated my huawei ascend p6-T00 three days ago. The new update is T00V100R001C01B507SP01 EmotionUI 2.0. The previous version was B120SP01 EMUI 1.6. The update went well and the phone is working great.

However, there is one problem bugging me all time. The system update is popping up all the time asking for update, even though the phone is already updated. I cannot stop it.

For you information, updating via the online option was not working. Therefore, I had to download the new update on my laptop, transferred it to a usb and then updated my phone via the usb storage option. It updated successfully. Is there any way to stop system update from constantly nagging me? It pops up over any app I am using. Please help. Your support and advice would be much appreciated.PS: I tried to re-update twice via different methods (first via local media-sd card and second via usb storage) to see if it goes away, but the update fails. I think that is because the phone is already updated. Thanks and regardsFaraaz.
